A couple weeks ago I got my first tattoo. Hurt way more than I thought it would, but I'm thrilled with the result. I'm not a huge fan of piercings, but this will not be my last tattoo.

If you have tattoos or piercings, post pictures of them, or share your ideas. Or if you have any questions to ask about them, go for it. I know I have some questions about certain piercings.

Have no intent of ever getting a tatoo. Mostly because I don't like the idea of permanent things on my body. I also have no plans for piercings because anything pointy makes my skin go cold. I just don't like the idea of things being jammed anywhere into my body.

Only have a left ear piercing I had since 3rd grade or so, and I'm fine with just that. I don't plan on getting anymore piercings, subtle changes to appearance can easily be done without them, though a lot of people don't know..every subtle change I do has a symbolic meaning behind it.

Tattoo's I like the look of, but don't intend on getting any myself..if I ever do change my mind to get one I'd consider for a year or so, then probably wait another whole year since it'd be permanent..it'd defiantly be an intended long process, carefully considered.

I like your tattoo, I'd defiantly get something small like that one if I really wanted to.

Exactly what Nick said. However, if i were to get a tattoo, it would be one of those invisible ink ones that can be seen in ultraviolet light.

That's why tattoos can be so much fun, they are so personal and can be so meaningful. Although I do know some people with pretty retarded tattoos, and most of them are done on impulse, by their friends so they look like shit. At the same time, I always thought if I got a tattoo that I might dislike later, It was a part of my life at that time, and as important as I think it is to live in the now, I also think it's important to reflect and embrace your past. I wonder if those things are especially bad for you... I'd be interested in knowing.

Anyways, if anybody cares at all, this is what I plan on getting done next. It's an illustration for an Edgar Allen Poe collection by Harry Clarke. And I'd be incorporating the text "MEMENTO MORI" into it for gay personal reasons.

I third what Nick said. But if I did it would probably be a really small one like...iunno on my neck or behind an ear. Maybe shoulder blade.

I can only see myself regretting any tattoo or piercing a few years later.
Not to mention it would fuck up pretty much every first impression you ever make, if it's somewhere particularly visible.

As long as I can cover it up I don't mind. Certainly don't plan on getting my hands or neck tattooed anytime soon..
